Add Day Trade AI as a custom MCP server under Plugins, sign in once, and ask in any chat. ChatGPT asks you before it runs a tool that changes something, such as recording a plan or editing a watchlist.
Set up in ChatGPTConnect ChatGPT, Claude Desktop or Claude Code to your Day Trade AI account. Your agent reads your Live Signals, analyses and journal, can see the chart you have open, and can check an order against your own trading rules before it asks your broker. Day Trade AI never places a trade.
How much of my daily loss budget is left, and which rules apply today?
Most of today's budget is still there: 1 of 3 trades taken and no rule has halted you. Eight rules apply today, including a 15:30 cut-off. Your trades last synced at 10:12 ET.
Before anything goes to my broker: buy 20 shares at 40.00, stop 39.00, target 43.00. Check it against my rules.

An AI agent is an assistant that can use tools. Day Trade AI is one of those tools: through it your agent reads your own account and, if you also give it your broker's own tools, places orders there. You connect each app once, on a consent page.

Questions traders put to their agent, by the moment of the day. Each one is answered from your own account: the signals and analyses Day Trade AI produced, the rules you wrote, the trades your broker reported, and the chart on your screen.

Three apps, one server address, one approval each. The steps below are the menus as they stood on 2026-10-28.
Server address for a custom MCP server or connector
https://mcp.day-trade.ai/mcp
Agent access is part of the Pro plan.
Open , then , then and choose Add custom MCP server.
Give it a name, paste the server URL https://mcp.day-trade.ai/mcp, set Authentication to OAuth and press Create.
Press Connect, sign in to Day Trade AI and approve it on the consent page. ChatGPT asks you before it runs a tool that changes something.
Open , then and choose Add custom connector.
Give it a name, paste https://mcp.day-trade.ai/mcp and press Add.
Press Connect, sign in to Day Trade AI and approve it on the consent page. One approval covers Claude Desktop and claude.ai.
Add the server:
claude mcp add --transport http dtai https://mcp.day-trade.ai/mcp
Type /mcp in Claude Code and sign in to Day Trade AI; approve it on the consent page.
Day Trade AI is on its way to the ChatGPT and Claude directories. Once it is listed there, you pick it from the list and the manual steps above go away. In the MCP Registry the server is ai.day-trade/dtai.
The consent page names the app that is asking and lists what it can do. Sign in to Day Trade AI, check which app is asking and what it will be able to do, read the terms and approve. You need the Pro plan. The app gets its own connection under Account, Settings, Connected agents, where you can pause or revoke it.
Your agent works from your own account, not from a generic feed: the signals and analyses Day Trade AI produced, the rules you wrote, and the trades your broker reported.
Ask what the Live Signals engine is doing on a symbol and what is actionable now, read your saved analyses with their entry, stop and target, or run a new one (it counts against your plan, as it does in the app). Ask the AI Analyst about the chart you have open: your agent reads which indicators are on it and the levels you drew, not prices. Every answer says when it was generated, so your agent can tell you how old it is.
Before it asks your broker for an order, your agent can send Day Trade AI the symbol, side, quantity, entry, stop and target. The check answers allowed or blocked, names the rule behind the answer and gives the risk in dollars and in R.
An order written as a close (SELL or COVER) is never blocked: your rules limit new risk, not your way out.
Your agent can record a plan before it places the order. When your brokerage sync reports the fill, Day Trade AI matches it to the plan. Your agent can then show you the plan next to what actually happened, and the slippage between them, and your AI Coach can review the trade: it sees the plan and the fill.
Practice plans are marked as practice and are never matched to your broker.
Ask for everything about one symbol in a single call, or for what is on deck today: the signals, your newest analysis, your own history in the symbol and what your rules say about it. Ask what happened since your agent last looked, such as a signal entry, an analysis resolving, a broken rule or a plan filled. Webhooks that send those events, signed, to your own cloud agent are being rolled out.
Buy 100 shares at 50.00, stop 49.00, target 53.00. Check it against my rules first.
Your agent asks Day Trade AI for the pre-trade check
Your daily loss limit is reached, so I have not sent anything to your broker. Want to review the day first?
Illustrative example. Made-up numbers.
The check is something your agent asks for, not a lock on your broker. The server's instructions tell a connected agent to run it before any order and to ask you first, but Day Trade AI is not in the order path: it cannot see an order your agent places at your broker without asking, and it cannot stop one.
Day Trade AI never places, changes or cancels an order. The order is placed with your broker's own tools, and it is your decision.
A check is only as current as your last trades sync, and every answer says how old that is. You can pause or revoke the connection at any time.
Each connection is yours to approve, watch and switch off.
The consent page names the app that is asking, who published it and where it will send you back to, and lists what it can do before you approve. An app that registered itself is shown as not verified. Each app you approve gets its own connection, so you can approve one and leave another out.
See the calls each connection made to Day Trade AI, and when: the route, the symbol and whether it was allowed. Your agent's actions at your broker are not in this list. Each connection also shows when it was last used and what it has used today.
Pause a connection to stop it without disconnecting it, or revoke one connection, or all of them, under Account, Settings, Connected agents. Revoking ends a connection at once and for good.
Day Trade AI has no way to place, change or cancel an order. Your agent uses your broker's own tools for that, and the server's instructions tell it to run the pre-trade check, restate the exact order and wait for your explicit yes first.
Day Trade AI does not hand your agent prices, bars, quotes, news or earnings, and its answers are for your own use: they may not be copied, stored, exported or passed on. Your agent reads prices from your broker's own tools.
If your agent asks for something Day Trade AI cannot give it, a short note of what was asked and why it failed can reach the Day Trade AI team, so we build what traders ask for. It holds your request in your words, never market data. Through the connector it is recorded by itself, and disconnecting the app stops it.
Day Trade AI has no broker commands, on purpose. Your agent gets the plan and the rules check from Day Trade AI and places the order with your broker's own CLI or tools, whichever broker you use. We have placed a bracket order built from a Day Trade AI plan in a Webull paper-trading (sandbox) account.
dtai_signals_now) or runs a new analysis (dtai_analyses_run) with your account size and risk percent. Whichever broker you use, the rules check works on the order you describe.
Agent access is part of the Pro plan. A new analysis your agent runs counts against your plan, as it does in the app.
If your plan lapses, your connections stop answering and stay listed under Connected agents; a connector may ask you to sign in again once the plan is active.

ChatGPT, Claude Desktop and claude.ai, and Claude Code: add https://mcp.day-trade.ai/mcp as a custom MCP server or connector and approve it once.
